For more than 15 years, Dr. Sherer's middle school, high school, and college students have consistently earned competition prizes, positions in all of the major Atlanta area youth orchestras and GMEA All-State Ensembles (with multiple first chair placements), college scholarships, and acceptance at prestigious summer festivals and music schools, including Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Interlochen Arts Camp, Eastern Music Festival, Brevard Music Festival, Oberlin Conservatory, New England Conservatory, Rice University, Northwestern University, Florida State University, and more, and several have gone on to pursue successful careers in music. Dr. Sherer currently serves on the faculty of the Lovett Conservatory of Music in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Sherer is available for a limited number of private lessons for motivated students. Study flute on a schedule that works for you. Lessons with Dr. Sherer are not a weekly commitment; rather, are purchased in packages and scheduled individually. You can study for a week, a month, or a longer term. Check in occasionally, ramp it up when you have an audition or jury ahead, or study more regularly for long-term growth. Online, limited hours mostly during the school day. |

GMEA ALL-STATE COACHINGSDr. Sherer has coached students to successful All-State auditions for more than ten years. Her students have routinely earned positions in all of the GMEA All-State ensembles, including multiple first chair placements. Dr. Sherer is available to coach middle school or high school flute sections, and can offer individual online coachings.
